Thipsamai, a Pad Thai to die for in Bangkok

Another Michelin Plate street food for you to try when visiting Bangkok, Thipsamai is the place you should go to if you are a Pad Thai lover, which probably applies to you all!

Resuming from my previous post on street food near the Giant Swing of Bangkok, Thipsamai is my top pick for dinner in that area, with one plate starting from only 60 baht (US$ 2).
Besides being listed on the Michelin Guide restaurant, Thipsamai is the one and only Pad Thai places in Bangkok that offers the widest variety of Pad Thai, from the most basic Pad Thai or Pad Thai with deep-sea prawn and extra egg, to Pad Thai wrapped in an omelette and seafood Pad Thai. Of course, the price varies too ;) The most expensive dish costs 300 baht (US$ 9).

Thanks to Thipsamai for being so considerate by acknowledging fellow vegetarians out there... if you're a vegetarian or a vegan, you can request for a vegetarian Pad Thai option - it's also in the menu.

Even better, to escape from the Bangkok heat, treat yourself with Thipsamai's 100% natural freshly squeezed orange juice. The pulp that comes with it makes it more chewy and tasty. Also surprisingly, the orange juice goes very well with the Pad Thai too!

This place sounds like a great deal right? Here's the catch: the queue may take up to an hour or more of waiting! Last time I went, we purposely arrived 10 minutes before the shop opened, but little did I know, a long crowd outside the shop was already formed, with around 30 queues in front of us, like for real.

Thipsamai Pad Thai began since 1966 and has long been popular among locals up to date. Find out more on their official website. If you still don't believe me, check out the reviews on TripAdvisor for yourself.
Opening hour: 5PM - 2AM
Make sure to not come during peak dinner hours.
